I made these adorable Geode inspired bath bombs! I am so happy with how these came out!!!
For the bath bomb itself I just used a recipe I found on Pinterest. Their are so many so use your favorite one!
After I made my bath bomb mixture I portioned it out into two bowls. I left one white and dyed the other one brown, using soap color. You can use food color but use it at your own risk! For the molds I experimented. I tried putting the mixture into bowls, aluminum foil and cupcake wrappers. The bowls will work if you line them with cling wrap before you put the mixture into it. To make the aluminum foil mold, grab a generous amount of foil and shape it around your fist. When you get your desired shape you can add the mixture. First add the brown mixture. Be sure to cover the sides and bottom with a nice thick layer. Next press the white mixture in the middle. Repeat that step with any mold you decide to use. To make the crystals I used bath salts. Color clear bath salts any color you want your crystals to be with soap colorant. To get this to stick to the bath bomb, melt 1-2 cubes of clear soap base and mix it in with your bath salts to get a thick consistency. Spread on top of your geode. Wait overnight for these to harden. Next peel the aluminum foil from around the bath bomb. This may be tricky at first but you'll eventually get it all! Or just depot from the mild you used!!
Enjoy your luxorious new bath bombs!
